The year 2013! Wow!!

Hello my Dear Friends!

I must say, 2013 was probably the most wonderful year in my whole life! It certainly was that musically!  I am so grateful for the people who are in my life…. And all the support I receive as an artist.  As journeys go.., there can be none more fulfilling that one with music.. and this, music, is my dream come true…

My greatest adventure of this year was to travel to Europe and to play music extensively for 5 and ½ weeks!  This is in addition to the 138+ shows in the US.  Honestly, I cannot even to begin to describe how special this all was to me. But, I can say, that because of this amazing trip (which I plan to write extensively on soon!) a whole new form of artistic expression was inspired.. one that I had never tried before….Sketching! (more on that to be revealed too!)

In Europe, I traveled to London, Cambridge, Suffolk, Paris, Samios, Tournai, Bruges, Antwerp, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Milan, Pavia, Florence, Barcelona, Sitges, Girona, Glasgow, and Edinburgh!  (Yes… I know! AMAZING!)  I played in clubs, in pubs, in BnB’s,  in homes, on the streets… in a video, on the radio, and even at a very special recording studio!  I sketched the architecture, and people…. !

But….., the greatest thing of all is… I made so very many wonderful new friends!

In the US performed extensively throughout the year, and with a variety of very talented musicians!  My “Love Police”!  Wow!...They take great care of me to keep the unique character and flavor to my music.  I am not only grateful, but honored to have them with me.  Last year my squad included,

Mac Given on Clarinet

David “Bopdrummer” Yager - Percussion

David Turanski - Bass

Bill Nixon - Violin

Art Fischman - Piano

Brian Adamczyk – Sax

Chris Mood - Guitar

Jim Cohen - Guitar

Ernie Pugliese - Guitar

Joe Arnold - Violin

Anthony Carlson - Violin

Rick Shryock - Violin

David Paller - Bass

Ed Wise - Bass

Rich Carlson - Percussion

Rachael Carlson – Flute

There were so many highlights I don’t know which one glows the brightest!  Off the top of my head I can say that being a guest on WXPN-The Gene Shay Show , not only once, but twice, ( With even a re-broadcast of the second show)…. was quite bright! And, I played concerts, clubs, taverns and even hospitals for “Musicians On Call”.. all of this was wonderful too....simply wonderful…

So thank you all ..! because , without you I would have no one to share music with.. or to connect in this very special way….

My heart is full…

With love always,

 Andrea
